Aletsch Glacier, Switzerland
The Aletsch Glacier is the largest glacier in the Alps. It has a length of about 23km, has about a volume of 15.4km≥, and covers about 81.7km≤ in the eastern Bernese Alps in the Swiss canton of Valais. This picture was taken from the Jungfraujoch station at 3466m earlier in the morning overlooking the south-eastern Swiss Alps.
